On another note, check out this very cool PBS documentary, website, and educational game about a recycling industry in Cairo, Egypt:

Hi, we are the Mustang Green Teens (MGT). We are teenagers dedicated to helping our environment. Our goal is to improve the environment in East Waterboro, ME. Eventually, we want to move on to the rest of York County, and then to the greater State of Maine. Our motto is "Start small; grow big." We are also going to preserve Maine's endangered species through fundraisers, documentaries, community service, and efforts to raise awareness around environmental and health-related issues.
hey didn't we play this game in ms. Q's literacy class before vaca?
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI have an idea that can reduce MMS ecological footprint. Instead of throwing away milk cartons, we can recycle them. Each week MMS throws away about 3,500 milk cartons.(About 250 daily.) That is 125,300 milk cartons in a school year. (I interviewed the lunch ladies to acquire that information.) After some research I wrote an informational letter to Mr.Fisher about how much milk cartons we throw away and how we could recycle them. For more information email Alyssa Wardwell (me).
